Jeff and Nanci Klein OUR SURVEY TRIP “Please come back and visit.” We tried to explain that we have to go back to the States first. “We will wait for you.” It could be years before we make it back. “We will wait.” This conversation took place at the end of every visit we had in a Mapuche home. How awesome our God is to have allowed us to sit in Mapuche homes and talk to them. As we got to know them and their problems, it was exciting to know that we have the answer. During our trip we drove over the Andes Mountains into Chile. We stayed at the home of Bro. and Mrs. Castner. Bro. Frey and I were able to give our testimonies at Loncoche Bible Baptist Church. At the end of the service, Alejandro, whose wife is a member of the church, came forward and accepted Christ as his Savior. We were also thrilled to attend a service at the home of Laurel Hauacho, a Mapuche man whose wife, daughter and nephew were saved under Castners ministry. God has given us such a vision and burden for the Mapuche People of the Andes Mountains. We thank the Lord and every person who gave their time and money to make our survey trip possible. We are home from Argentina and know without a doubt that is where the Lord wants our family, flying into Argentina felt like going home. After the 14-hour bus ride through beautifully barren La Pampas, we met up with Rodney and Cheri Frey in Neuquen. We drove up into the Andes Mountains, there we drank Yerba Mate Tea in Mapuche Homes, visited a school with 160 Mapuche children, and made plans with the Frey’s about our ministry when we return to Argentina. Through all of this the Lord showed us the exact people and place he is calling us.
