Philemon 1:22 " ...I trust that through your prayers... "

Hello y'all, we are in Texas!  We have started linguistic school at BBTI and are learning a lot. The training we are receiving, learning the Spanish and Mapudungun languages, will be a huge help on the mission field. We are enjoying being in a house again after 19 months in a trailer.

After a meeting at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Las Cruses, New Mexico the church held a special offering to buy some property to put a building on. Another church offered to match dollar for dollar to buy the land. The offering was enough and they purchased it. It was so exciting to be a part of that meeting! They also voted to take us on starting immediately. Thank you Cornerstone Baptist!

We have begun the process of getting all our visas, as it takes a lot longer than it used to. Please keep our paperwork in your prayers.

Our first weekend in Bowie, Texas we were able to pass out tracts at 2 nd Monday, a flea market. Our family passed out over 350 tracts. It was so wonderful to see people walking around reading the tracts and the vendors reading them during slow times. We thank the Lord that, with the tracts we passed out and the ones passed out by others, we never saw one tract on the ground.

Our family went to Oklahoma City, OK to visit Emy, a girl we met on our survey trip in  Argentina. We were looking for a smaller van so we could get better than 5-6 MPG. We found a used one in the $2,000's that was within our budget. Jeff looked at it, prayed about it, and decided to buy it. Dave, the salesman, and Jeff went to the bank. The bank said they would not let us take out more than $1,000 because we were from Oregon, not OK. Dave wouldn't accept a check either. While discussing the problem, Pastor Kim Hayes of Bible Baptist Church in Chickasha, was looking at a 15-passenger van. He saw Jeff, walked up to him saying "hi" and asked if he was a missionary. When told yes, Pastor asked what Jeff was doing. Pastor turned to Dave and said, "Take his check and I'll back him up." So Dave took the check, and we got the van. We also got a possible meeting. Pastor Hayes told Jeff to call him to see when we can have a meeting!!!

With our full schedule of meetings and school, our prayer letter will now come out every other month. Thank you for understanding .

Please continue to pray for:

  •          Phone calls, meetings, and support
  •          School for the whole family
  •          Many would be saved from the tracts
