August 2009 Newsletter

Continue to pray for Iglesia Bautista Libertad and its growth. We have seen God move in our church and prayers have been answered. Bartolo and Ofelia Torres who had applied for their legal papers 14 years ago, were notified this month to report for proper documentation procedures. Please pray that all goes well. We did not have any teens that were able to go to the youth camp this summer; they were all working and helping their families. We have learned that all things work together in God’s timing.

Our theme for this quarter was the liberty we have in Christ. ………false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage: . .Galatians 2:4

On the fourth of July we celebrated our “Liberty” and the message was poignant in that we stressed that our liberty as Christians was not because of our “Independence” but rather because of our “dependence” on Jesus Christ as our savior. Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free …Galatians 5:1

Iglesia Bautista Biblica de Irapuato Mexico Please continue to pray for pastor Javier Leon and his wife Elvira. These folk are doing an outstanding work for the Lord there in Irapuato. We continue to hear of church growth and lost souls coming to know the Lord as their personal Savior. Pray also for the mission San Antonio el Rico we hope to see this mission become a church one day and a pastor called from the church in Irapuato to pastor the work there.

Iglesia Bautista elBuen Pastor (the mission at Talmo, Ga)Continue to pray for this work as they diligently look for a place to house their church family. We were blessed to meet the new couple from their church who had recently received Christ as their Savior, were baptized and since they had three children and had never married Pastor Roberto performed his first wedding ceremony and united these folk in Holy matrimony. Amen!

We know that many of you give out of your own necessity and we praise God for your faithfulness. We thank each of you for your prayers and support of this ministry.
